Should all acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should all acquaintance be forgot
And the days of auld lang syne
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll make a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne

Bertemu dan berpisah
Adat manusia biasa
Hilang di mata tapi
Di hati jgn lupa
Berdoalah kita agar
Aman dan sentosa
Semoga bertemu kita

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

April 28th, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

So much to talk about yet so lil time.. As if like there’s no tomorrow for me *touch wood*.. Leaving for Redang Island in 1 hour… YEAHHH.. Redang, here i comeee.. For ya information, it is now in the wee hours and when i say wee.. it means 3 am in the morning..

It was definitely one of my most memorable birthday outings. It’s not my birthday.. Not even someone whom i haf crush on. Coz i don’t do homosexual unlike Aaron..Gross..I pity his parents..LOL.. Well, can’t really blame him as he has been in boys skool for the past 11 years and even now though we do haf gals in Form 6.. poor Aaron.. hopefully he is happy.. HAHA

We burst into laughter like noone’s business when 9 of us were playing ‘truth or dare’ in Mdm Kuan’s, MV. There were 15 of us but were seperated into 2 tbls. Despite being told to reduce our volume by one of the waiters, we tend to laugh even louder with all the silly questions and answers.

Black : "Now we know that you like her. Tell us what you see in her that we don’t."
Anonymous Guy : "The way she frowns and laughs at the same time…"

HAHA.. that would need a lot of practice i suppose. I really can’t bare to imagine the facial expression..LOL.. No offence…really
Neway, it went on and on until the other 6 came and joined us. It was not as exciting as in the smaller group but we did chuckle. And we were running out of questions. It was alwaiz truth and no dare. Obviously.. asking 4 trouble?

It finally came to an end and that was the time the birthday boy had to foot the bill. Yeah.. the birthday boy.. Not his friends or his gf.. Some kind of tradition. The bill came and to my suprise, RM 420.. =O I am so so so so so not gonna come out on my birthday. LOL. Feeling guilty and repented for our doings ( Sir, can i haf Nasi Bonjari? Me too.. same here.. 2 more pls.. How bout Nasi Lemak? What say you? Bring it on.. Another 1 for me.. 2 Curry Laksa. Drinks? COKE!! SPRITE!! ICE LEMON TEA!!! Deserts? Banana split pls..) - this was only my tbl, not forgettin another tbl of 6.. =X, finally we dicided to purchase a Chocolate Banana cake from secret recipe for the birthday boy and celebrated in Brewball.. What a place?

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN and thanks for the treat.. really appreciate tat.
Speaking about birthday, sorry yeevone, sent my hp for repair and all my birthday reminders were lost. And u know, no more some1 there to remind me bout that.. MIss those days… Neway, let bygones be bygones…

HELPP!!!

April 23rd, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

OKKKKK… comments on my style of writing start flowing in just like adrenaline rushing up your ass when you are walking on a street and out of a sudden, hundreds of ppl from the opposite side of the road running towards you and pointing the fuck out of you. http://youtube.com/watch?v=uMol1TFmf0Y.  Very much like it.. LOL.

- L1f3 $uX - says:
i mean what do u think of my style of writing judging from my blog?

HAHAAHAHA…
- L1f3 $uX - says:
then i ask u… jason lo or good charlotte?

ØUîçKŠÏLVÆ® - i like her =\ says:
both

Agreesive? Very strong? Opinionated? What is that supposed to mean? Too good? LMAO.. Another comment on my previous posts - "too formal" by my very own buddy, Ewa. And this is the main reason i alter the style of my writing which sounds nothing but weird to me. I gonna kill her if she says it’s too formal again. LOL
And next would be "Very dull and boring" - that’s the comment on my essays in skool by one of my fav teachers, Pn Vasantha. Sometimes truth hurts doesn’t it?

Anyway, had MUET seminar today, though it was not as interesting as it was expected to be, at least it’s better than sitting in the class, desperately wanting the time to elapse faster. The objective of the seminar is to build up our confidence to sit for the paper this coming Saturday and i doubt it. It went totally the other way round for me. ARGHHHH.. I was freaking out in da hall when Pn. Vasantha told us the criteria of band 5 and 6. And i personally think neither the former nor the latter is the group i am in.. =X GOD, HELP ME!!!!!!!

Locals?

April 21st, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

It was a fucking tiring concert yet an interesting one. I was perspiring like hell as if i was standing direct under the sun, withstanding the intense and scorching heat. I was really wet to my skin. Never in my life i had jumped that much in a concert before. Not in RTW concert or disagree concert. Maybe it was the crowd. Or maybe it was the companions. Errr.. Anyway, One Buck Short was ok… Estranged was good.. LO was fucking great.. Good Charlotte? It’s always better than those three, obviously. No? Prove me wrong then….

That’s the problem wif malaysians is what i woud say. I am not saying that u can’t support international bands, but it’s that we hardly show support for our local bands. And it didn’t happen oni on tat time, it occurs round the clock. How many of u all actually haf a cd of any local bands at home? None? Ask yourself.. You yourself know better…

It’s still lingering in my mind an incident last year where i was listening to a malay song in my class. I was happily singing along when a friend of mine interrupted by asking me a question. You actually listen to malay songs? And i answered back without any hesitation - Yeah, what’s the problem? Then i walked away and kept on wondering bout it….. Why would you haf such mind-sets when u haven’t even heard of the song before? Jus because it’s in malay? Same goes to local bands.. local bands? ewww.. no thanks.. OR who’s the singer? local again? ahhhh..nvm. This has been a norm to me listening to ppl grumbling about it.

Our local bands and artists give their best by producing excellent music and guess how we thank them? Pirated Cds.. Sounds pathetic? that’s the fact isn’t it?

Anyway, independent local bands or artists u should consider :-
Altered Frequency, Az Samad, Broken Scar, Disagree, Estranged, Flop Poppy, Jason Lo, Jerome Kugon Juwita Suwito, Love Me Butch, Mia Palencia, Mei-chern, Naked Breed,  Nicestupidplayground, Nitrus, One Buck Short Soft Touch, Reza Salleh, Rhapsody, Shelly Leong, Tempered Mental, The Sofa Sessions, Qings & Kueens

It’s time

April 8th, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

Time flies.. as time and tide waits for no man, i suppose everyone acknowledges that. A blink of an eye, and a few decades pass. The days one can live on this earth is extremely limited. And therefore, everyone seems to go all out for their goals in their lives. It’s undeniable that nothing is really perenial in this world even love i would say.

Speaking about gaols in our lives, don’t you have any? I suppose each of everyone has at least one. Let’s jus take one of my goals in life - to be not only a successful person but also an obidient son, being able to fulfill the needs of my parents. Something like living in a mansion with my parents! food being served by a connoisseur! loads of cash! having the latest sports cars!  HAHAHA. yeah, laugh on. Building castle in the air? Yeah, what if it is?

We tend to laugh or even worse, make fun of ppl’s dreams or goals in their lives? Well, to me, i think that those ppl without any dreams or goals should be the one being laughed at. Contradicting? When being laughed at our ’silly’ goals, we don’t win our spurs to prove them wrong instead we comply to it. What’s so shameful bout our own goals? Shouldn’t we proud of them and go all out to achive them? WAKE UPPP!!!. Guess it’s time for us to do so

Smoking

February 7th, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

Ishhh_notti_izzaty_1

NOOOOOO… it wasn’t me.. i am innocent -  starbucks, KLCC
and credits to the photographer - izzaty

Smoking has been part of my life. If given a choice not 2 eat barbequed chickens which is cancer causing or smoke, i would rather not eat those chickens. I actually did when ching yi offered me a barbequed chicken wing which was really blacken as if it was a piece of charcoal. ‘EWWWW, cancer causing’.. that’s wat i said to her and that’s when her sarcasm came in. =X Well, she has been sarcastic all the while and even i hafta bow to it. She replied," Ohhh.. Eating barbequed stuff is really bad 4 health but smoking is good for health lar." =s

I started taking up the habit when i was in form 3 and it has been 4 years then. And i haf been a heavy one lately. Neway, quit 4 a few times be4 and obviously in vain. Lectured 4 smoking by my parents, mostly my mom 4 hundreds of time. There’s no cure 4 me i guess. =X Well, hafta expect for the worst when u r a smoker. Anything can happen like u might not be seeing me 2morrow or the day after 2morrow 4eva.

Btw, my buddy sent me a link(a blog) concerning bout smoking i find it really funny. In fact every1 finds it funny..

Human rights

January 31st, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

It has been awhile since i last blogged. By the way, shouldn’t i be busy wif my studies? It’s only 10 months to my STPM and i doubt that i haf enough time if i don’t start revising now. Even got lectured by my physics subject teacher.

Neway, went for the freedom film festival in CM yesterday and managed to watch a few scenes of Kopi O Khau Sikit and Rainy Days. It was such a waste i couldn’t stay any longer to watch the other two films which are Twelve 11 and The Invisible Children. Thanks to my friend for ‘ajaking’ me to mamak. sighh.. mamak again? yeah.. mamak again.. Back to the topic, the 4 award winning films are somehow controversial and i can gurantee u would feel aroused if you ever watch it. Worse still, mei chern who was supposed to perform ‘My time’(OST of Twelve 11) in CM din show up. That’s the main reason why i went.
Speaking bout her song, u can listen in her myspace profile - http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=86579238

I haf been wondering if i should really be one of Community Communications Centre (Komas) members since i really enjoy serving ppl and fighting for human rights. =D Like my sis who is a journalist, she did try joinin a NGO named ‘Food Not Bombs’ which is strongly against colonialism. This means they don’t support branded stuff, or even eating in places like Mc D, KFC, Starbucks and others. Well, in ancient days, colonialism may mean the control or governing influence of a nation over a dependent country, territory, or people. But nowadays, it also means that a system or policy by which a nation maintains or advocates such control or influence. To them, places like Mc D is a way to colonise the people. This is jus one of the terms you hafta follow in order to be a member. Pretty hard to fullfil? yeah.. that’s y my sis tried but in vain. But somehow, my sista bought their organization’s T-shirts to show support.

Here is the article wrote by my sista on The Freedom Film Festival.

Ain’t better?

January 15th, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

Last weekends was a hectic one. =X time was fully occupied, not with houseworks or homeworks but wif ‘yum cha’ sessions. I wonder what would become of me if there’s no ‘mamak’ in my life.

Average hours spent in mamak a week =  23 hours = 1380 minutes
Average hours spent on studies a week = 30 minutes (gulp)

Therefore, the ratio of average hours spent in mamak a week to average hours spent on studies = 1 : 46 (gulp gulp). Ain’t that bad afterall rite? Well, it’s just one of the ways to cope with stress i guess. Frankly speaking, i am never good in my studies and worse still, surrounded by smart asses everyday and keeping the pace with them is one HELL task. Sometimes, i really feel tired of myself. And that’s the part when the question if i should fucking quit studying comes to my mind.

It has been roughly 8 months since i quit my Uni and i totally have not been really studying since then. I don’t know if i did make the right choice but what i am sure is i did regret. It was a last minute decision but i doubt that i really could study at that time if i stay. Friends, that was what i needed most at that moment didn’t really show up. Or maybe they did and it’s me the one who didn’t realise.

Neway, as stated in my first post, people shouldn’t dwell on the past. It’s enough to try your best in all that you’re doing now. =D

Confession

January 6th, 2007 by lifesux-alwaiz

It’s finally published.. =X and this is the original 1

A boy of nine stared at the sea of students in front of him clamouring for the canteen operator’s attention.

While they busied themselves paying for their food and the operator busied himself receiving money, the boy waded through the crowd and inched nearer to the counters.

Then, as quick as lightning, he grabbed a snack and bolted off.

That was in 1997 and the boy was Alan (not his real name).

Fast forward to 2003, and the scene is a classroom in a boys’ school in KL.

It was empty except for two figures rummaging through bags, looking for mobile phones and cash.

They managed to get two phones and a few ringgit before an accomplice standing outside the room signalled for them to make a quick getaway.

  One of them was Alan.

  Alan grew up stealing.

He started small in primary school and eventually got bolder and more confident in executing more elaborate thefts.

He already knew stealing was wrong when he first stole, but thought nothing of it because the value of the things he stole was small (RM1 per piece of chicken and 20 sens per packet of snack).

When asked why he resorted to stealing at such a young age, Alan said “Why not? You get free food.”

“It was an easy task, and a few of us were doing it.”

“Plus, whoever managed to steal also won the bragging right for the day,” said Alan, 18.

During form three, Alan and his six friends used to take turns making rounds in their school block to harp on classes whose students had gone down to the field for physical education activities.

“A few of us would just walk out of the class in the midst of a subject.”

“Sometimes, we’d inform the teacher that we’re heading to the toilet, but most of the time, we just slipped out unnoticed when the teacher’s busy teaching in front.”

In each operation, 2-3 boys would be involved.

Once they come across an emptied class, these boys would not even stop at coins.

“An outdated phone like the Nokia 3310 could fetch RM50 to RM100 when traded in. That’s why stealing mobile phones is good business.”

Besides schoolmates’ belongings, Alan has also stolen magazines and a camping parang from Central Market, and candies from 7-11 because “it’s just so easy”.

He has also stolen a music CD from Kota Raya for “a friend who wanted it but didn’t want to pay for it”.

He stole textbooks from a bookstore in KL, and pocketed the book money his mother gave him for his own use.

“What I did was to just buy a cheap workbook, and after that, went around the store filling the plastic bag with textbooks.”

“I did not pay a single sen for my textbooks that year,” he said.

Throughout form three and early form four, he stole hair gels and wax from a pharmacy in a departmental store near his home “every time I run out of them”.

“The most important thing I observed when stealing was to make sure no one was watching, and there was no cctv anywhere near.”

“Then, I would discard the price tag so that the sensor panels couldn’t detect the item hidden in my bag,” he said.

Alan said he was never caught in form three although he stole many times because “I was skilled”.

“Initially, I was a little afraid, but I managed to successfully do it and get away with it time and again, so in the end, it’s like nothing to me,” he said.

Over-confidence and greed proved to be the downfall for Alan.

One day in March, when he was in form four, Alan and three friends decided to steal some camping equipment in a departmental store.

They managed to grab some candles from the supermarket and a branded shirt from the men’s department.

“I brought in two shirts into the changing room, but made it look as if I was bringing only one in.”

“Once inside, I stuffed one into my backpack. Then, I came out and handed the other shirt to the salesperson,” he said.

Just when they were about to leave, Alan suggested to his friends that they might as well go for the camping tents since they had been successful all this while.

Each tent was one metre long and a quarter of a metre wide and tall, but that did not deter the foursome to coolly stroll into the sports department, take two tents and make their way out through the parking lot.

When they reached the lot, Alan realised they were being tailed by a security guard.

He notified his friends, but the guard had already radio-ed for help, and before the boys knew it, four guards appeared from all directions.

The guards chased after the boys and tried to apprehend them.

A bouncer-like guard managed to grab hold of Alan by his neck.

As Alan struggled in his clutch, one of his friends took a tent and swung it onto the guard’s neck.

The impact made the guard scream in pain and release Alan.

Alan made a dash but when he realised the other guards had already overpowered his friends, he surrendered.

The guards led them into the security room and drew up a list of items stolen and the cost incurred, which amounted to about RM500.

The boys, who were clothed in uniform, were given a choice of having either the police or their school be notified of this matter.

The boys chose their school but the guards eventually called their parents, as they were underaged.

Alan’s mom rushed to the scene and settled the bill.

He could never forget that day in his life because once home, to his surprise, his parents did not reprimand him, let alone punish him.

Instead, they cried, regretting the failure in their duty as parents as they did not raise their son to be a righteous person.

“When I saw my parents shed tears because of my actions, I realised the anguish I’d caused them.”

“My dad said we were not rich, but he never once wanted me and my sibling to feel deprived in any way, which is why he worked his fingers to the bone every day to provide enough food on the table, nice clothes on our back, and good education for us.”

“My heart broke when I heard that. Knowing that my parents worked so hard for an honest living, while I went around being a thief, made me ashamed.”

Alan promised he would never steal anymore, and had kept to his word ever since.

His friends also repented and had put a stop to their wayward actions since that day.

“I do not miss the heydays when every theft I accomplished was treated as a feather added to my cap.”

“I was stupid, but the most important thing is I’ve learnt my lesson, the expensive and hard way.”
